Dougstock 2008 was an intimate back-garden affair which, while a great event, was somewhat impeded by clashing with Cottingham Day (yes, some musicians did indeed decide to spend the afternoon and evening watching the boys brigade or whatever rather than boozing it up in a lovely garden with free music) and also some afternoon rain. It didn't stop the stalwarts turning up to jam together in the garden though including local music heavyweights Abbie Lammas, Frank Johnson and Jim Danby letting fly with their strings among the fray.

Dougstock 2009 has gone public, now with a roof over its head courtesy of the King William IV (King Billy) in Cottingham, and hosted by Springboard Monthly. Acts scheduled for the 7pm kickoff on Friday 11th December include The Mark Robinson Experience, Frank Hohnson, David Elf, MyOneManBand [Phill Wilson], Abbie Lammas and KarlCulley . Sound from Dennis Caruana and compering from Ukulele Bill.

See you there!
