November 2007 saw the release of the much-anticipated John Barleycorn Reborn Double CD set, the brainchild of Mark Coyle from online folk label Woven Wheat Whispers released by Cold Spring label on general distribution, which featured one of my tracks.
CD John Barleycorn Reborn: Dark Britannica features an eclectic mix of dark folk from some of the best acts in the UK, including personal friends in the form of bands such as Stormcrow and acts like Damh The Bard and also featuring Peter Ulrich (Dead Can Dance/This Mortal Coil). It was therefore a huge privilidge to have my own music appear in this compilation.
John Barleycorn Reborn has been highly rated and recently praised in a lengthy review by musician, author, activist, poet and founder of A Teardrop Explodes Julian Cope .
